lyrics

I can’t remember when it was that I got lost in this story
It’s been so long ago now I wish I knew my way out of this maze
I keep on reading deeper and deeper into it
I’m cornered right now but I think I will get out one day

The dream of running away is running away from me
It grew legs and is scampering across terrain swiftly
I’ll climb these foreign vines to the top of a tree
There it’s fertile…An open season on productivity

Caves and rocks in front of me, seams to obstruct my trek, inwards
Now that I have the tools, I’ll chip and chip away, at them
I keep on digging deeper and deeper into it
Crust, mantle, core now, hope I will find my way out, one day

The dream of running away is running away from me
It grew legs and is scampering across terrain swiftly
I’ll climb these foreign vines to the top of a tree
There it’s fertile…An open season on productivity

Down here it’s warmer than the suns combined
But it’s me that’s cold as ice
Attempting to thaw
